The horror genre is full of subgenres that come alive during the spooky season. Some viewers like psychological horror like The Shining, Hereditary, and Get Out; while some like their platter full of horror and blood, like The Terrifier franchise, Evil Dead, The Hills Have Eyes; and some fans like their horror with a side of laughter, think Zombielandfranchise, Shaun of the Dead, Beetlejuice, and What We Do in The Shadows. Perhaps horror comedies work best because they address a four-quadrant crowd better than any other.
