As it was written, Funcom’s highly acclaimed Dune: Awakening is getting that much bigger with its free Chapter 2 Update and massive paid DLC The Lost Harvest on September 10.
Gamers Heroes recently attended a Dune: Awakening press preview that put the spotlight on Chapter 2 and The Lost Harvest DLC – see how players will be able to control the universe with our preview.
Dune: Awakening Chapter 2 and The Lost Harvest DLC Preview
Featuring a new and completely standalone storyline, Dune: Awakening’s The Lost Harvest DLC kicks things off after the crash of a Miner’s Guild spice harvester. However, players will be quick to discover that this are holds a secret cargo that could change everything. This story will tie into the established universe of Dune: Awakening, taking players to different areas.
New to Dune: Awakening is the Treadwheel, giving players the chance to travel in style.
A wheeled wonder, Dune: Awakening’s Treadwheel is a new class that is more maneuverable than a bike, albeit featuring a lower top speed. Want to customize the Treadwheel and truly make it your own? Dune: Awakening’s got you covered there as well – one can utilize modules that add an extra seat, boosters, and even scanners.
For those looking to express themselves in Dune: Awakening, players can take advantage of five base decorations (including garage doors!), two armor skins, four weapon skins, and the absolutely crucial Thumper Emote as part of this update.
Funcom has also been listening closely to community feedback around Dune: Awakening, and is poised to deliver on a number of highly requested items. In addition to four new hairstyles (including an oh-so-stylish bun), players can also take advantage of new tattoos in the color of their choosing.
Can’t figure out what you want? Variety is the spice (heh) of life in this Dune: Awakening update – players will be able to take advantage of character re-customization in Dune: Awakening with Suk Doctors and the Bene Theliax, conveniently located in Harko Village and Arrakeen.

Players can even pet Dune: Awakening’s Kulon donkey!
With the upcoming release of Dune: Awakening’s Chapter 2 update and The Lost Harvest DLC, all those that brave the sands of Arrakis will be able to control the universe and play their way.
Dune: Awakening is now available for the PC via its official Steam page.
