Dune 3 Trailer Release Date, Character Posters of Timothée Chalamet & More Revealed

New details about Dune: Part Three have emerged, including its teaser trailer release timing and a slate of character posters featuring Timothée Chalamet and other returning cast members. The updates offer an early look at the film’s direction as Denis Villeneuve prepares to conclude the trilogy.

Dune 3 confirmed its teaser trailer will premiere live on TikTok tomorrow at 9:00am PT / 12:00pm ET.

The film has also unveiled its first character posters, featuring Timothée Chalamet alongside Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, and Isaach de Bankolé as Bashar of the Ninth Legion Farok, highlighting both returning and new characters.

Timothée Chalamet revealed the first look at Dune: Part Three by sharing an image of Paul Atreides with visible facial scarring and a mask covering his mouth. Warner Bros. has scheduled the film for release on Dec. 18, 2026, where it will face off against Avengers: Doomsday. Reports indicate the story will feature a time jump of more than 10 years following the events of Dune: Part Two.

In the previous installment, Paul Atreides joined the Fremen, formed a relationship with Chani, and defeated the Harkonnens. The film ended with Paul seizing power and launching a holy war against the Great Houses.

Denis Villeneuve directs Dune: Part Three, based on Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah. The film stars Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, and Robert Pattinson.

Villeneuve said, “Like Herbert did with Dune: Messiah, I think it’ll be a great idea to do something completely different. The story takes place 12 years after where we left the characters at the end of Part Two.” Chalamet said, “It was for a film, for ‘Dune: Part Three,’ and there’s supposed to be a nice character shift” (via Deadline).

Production on the film began in July 2025 and wrapped in November. The novel states, “Dune Messiah continues the story of Paul Atreides, better known—and feared—as the man christened Muad’Dib.”
