The President is in the building! Or at least he will be on the Friday of the 2025 Ryder Cup. Mere hours ago, it was confirmed that President Donald Trump will be in Bethpage supporting Team U.S. during their battle against the Europeans. Patrick Cantlay and captain Keegan Bradley acknowledged how great it would be for the team’s morale to have the 47th POTUS on the course. However, Ryder Cup veteran Justin Rose views it a bit differently.
Confident that he and the rest of Team Europe will retain at Bethpage, the Englishman was asked if he would welcome Trump on stage for the trophy ceremony. Rose told the reporter, “100 percent, yeah, would love the opportunity to have that opportunity. Listen, I’m not sure he’s going to want to be on the stage congratulating the team that sort of wins in his backyard. But listen, of course, he’s the President, ultimate respect, and that would be a great opportunity.”

Being a huge fan of golf and a great player himself, the President would certainly enjoy being a part of the trophy ceremony. Although he would ideally prefer Bryson DeChambeau & Team U.S. lifting the trophy. But considering that he also shares a great friendship with Rory McIlroy & Co., he wouldn’t mind sharing the stage with them.
