While the headlines are dominated by The Odyssey, another movie achieved a tremendous feat this weekend at the worldwide box office. Mere days after the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael,overtook Oppenheimer to become the top-grossing biopic of all time and crossed the $1 billion mark worldwide, a third 2026 release has joined the club. Before Michael, the year’s first film to hit this coveted milestone was TheSuper Mario Galaxy Movie, which seems to have ended its run with $1.011 billion worldwide. Michael is sitting at $1.010 billion worldwide. And now, the third member of 2026’s billion-dollar club has overtaken both those hits to become the biggest blockbuster of 2026.
