Everyone has that vacation story where things just didn’t go as planned. Maybe the weather didn’t comply, or the hotel overbooked, or one plane delay turned into a string of cancellations — we’ve all been there. Somewhere we hope never to be while on vacation (or just during a normal day at that) is trapped inside the plot of Johannes Roberts’ (The Strangers: Prey at Night) latest film, Primate. In celebration of the survival thriller’s upcoming world premiere at the Fantastic Fest’s 20th anniversary, we’re thrilled to unveil a never-before-seen image from the project as part of Collider’s Exclusive Preview event. While much of the plot is being kept under wraps, we know, as per the synopsis, that the storyline will follow “a group of friends” whose tropical vacation turns horrific, chaotic, and deadly after they have some sort of encounter with the titular mammals. And, from movies like Nope and Monkey Shines, we know there’s nothing more terrifying than a ticked-off monkey.
