A familiar character gets a new face when Lorelei Olivia Mote makes her debut as the new Rachel on Days of Our Lives in the Tuesday, March 17, episode. She will be stepping into the shoes of Alice Halsey, who played the role of Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) daughter from April 2025 until March 2026.

The Drama Continues

As a young actress, Mote’s career is only just beginning, but her resume already includes roles on series like American Horror Stories and Daisy Jones & the Six as well as films like Riddle of Fire and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. DAYS will mark her daytime debut.

After Rachel was born back in 2019, the baby was played by twins Josephine and Rosalind May as well as triplets Emma, Kate, and Miller Kamienski before being aged into a little girl played by Finley Rose Slater in October 2021. She continued to appear as Rachel until Halsey took over in 2025. “I will be forever grateful for the privilege to play such a fascinating, complicated character and to be a part of this epic story,” Halsey said as she bid DAYS farewell and prepared to make her debut starring as Laura Ingalls on the new Little House on the Prairie series, which premieres on Netflix on July 9.

Rachel has taken after her mother much more than her father, manipulating and scheming to get what she wants (like getting her parents back together again, whether they want to or not). She was even recently sent to Bayview Sanitarium for treatment after she confessed to shooting EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). While in the hospital, Rachel befriended Sophia (Rachel Boyd), who has continued using the girl to do her dirty work while Rachel is free and Sophia is still stuck in Bayview. Rachel has appeared to experience second thoughts about helping Sophia with her schemes against Holly (Ashley Puzemis), so Mote is stepping into a juicy storyline as her alter ego wrestles with whether to listen to the angel or the devil on her shoulder.
