Blur: cancel bids and repay Blend loans by November 12

On October 12, 2026 Blur announced on X that its website blur.io would be shut down on November 12, 2026. The smart contracts on Ethereum keep running, and your NFTs sit in your own wallet anyway. Anything tied to the interface, though, is easiest to settle while it is still online.

That means three things. Cancel open bids and listings on blur.io. ETH you deposited into the Blur Pool for bidding sits in a separate contract, not in your wallet; withdraw it through the website while it is still running. And if you borrowed against an NFT through the lending service Blend, repay the loan by November 12, because Blend issues no new loans from that date and a defaulted loan costs you the pledged NFT. For funds still sitting in Blend after November 12, Blur has announced a tool of its own. Afterwards, revoke the approvals you granted to Blur. Every step is set out in our article on the Blur shutdown and Blend loans, and what it means for the NFT market in our overview of NFT marketplaces in 2026.

Binance Pool: two times count on November 10

Binance is shutting down its mining pool. According to the exchange's announcement, Binance cuts all connections to the pool on November 10, 2026 at 07:00 UTC. Hashrate arriving after that is no longer credited. Pool Savings, Cloud Mining and the Transaction Accelerator end along with the pool.

The second time matters more for your money: by 23:59 UTC the same day you are asked to have completed all required steps, identity verification included, so that open rewards, balances and refunds reach you promptly. Redeem Pool Savings yourself beforehand. Also download your earnings statements: the pool pages stay viewable only until November 24, 2026 at 07:00 UTC, and you will need the statements for your tax return. More in our article on the Binance Pool shutdown.

Sophon and Abstract: bringing funds back from the layer 2 to Ethereum

Sophon and Abstract are layer-2 networks on Ethereum, meaning separate blockchains that bundle transactions and pass them on to the main chain. Anyone holding coins or tokens there has to move them back to Ethereum or to another network through a bridge. Depending on the route that takes anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, so leave a buffer and do not wait for the last day.

At Sophon, the withdrawal deadline ends on November 25, 2026 according to the project; after that, infrastructure and websites are switched off, and the network is set to close for good on November 30. According to the project, assets left on the chain after that may become permanently inaccessible. Sophon has no escape hatch via Ethereum should the chain stop earlier. All the more reason to act early; the instructions are in our article on the Sophon withdrawal deadline.

The Abstract chain from Igloo, the company behind Pudgy Penguins, will be shut down on December 15, 2026. You can withdraw through the Abstract Migration Hub or the native bridge. The project itself states that users who have not migrated their funds by the deadline will lose access to them. First move funds out of apps, pools or games into your wallet, because only what sits there can be bridged. Our article on the Abstract chain shutdown walks you through it step by step.

CoinEx and Silicon Network: the last deadlines of the year

The crypto exchange CoinEx is ceasing operations. Trading already ended on September 29; since then CoinEx has sold every balance not held in USDT and credited the proceeds as USDT. You can withdraw until December 22, 2026 at 02:00 UTC. After that, the withdrawal channel closes, and according to the CoinEx notice whatever is left goes into independent custody that charges a fee of five percent a month. If you have not checked yet, log in now; what to watch out for is in our article on the CoinEx shutdown.

Silicon Network, a smaller layer 2 from South Korea, has not accepted deposits since September 2. According to the operators' notice, funds can be bridged back to Ethereum until December 31, 2026 at 12:00 Korean time, which is 03:00 UTC. Whatever is still on the chain after that cannot be recovered, according to the operators.

Delistings, wallets and stablecoins: Kraken, Cobo, Binance USDP and the ESMA deadline

It is not only whole services that close; individual coins also disappear from exchanges. In October Kraken delisted 13 tokens, among them UXLINK, OBOL and IDEX. Trading ended on October 23, and according to Kraken withdrawals remain possible until January 29, 2027 at 15:00 UTC. Whatever is still in the account after that is liquidated by the exchange itself between February 1 and 12, and the proceeds can be well below the last price, in some cases zero. The deadline comes earlier for the 21 tokens Kraken delisted in August, among them VANRY, JUNO and MULTI: for those, withdrawals close on December 10, 2026 at 15:00 UTC according to Kraken's August delisting notice. The full list is in our article on the October Kraken delisting.

Cobo Wallet ends its app service on December 1, 2026 at 00:00 UTC+8, which is November 30 at 16:00 UTC. According to the Cobo notice, anything still in the app after that is charged a fee of two percent a month, at least the equivalent of $100; the first is deducted on January 1, 2027. If you have saved Cobo addresses as withdrawal destinations at exchanges or mining pools, replace them beforehand.

Binance is ending support for the stablecoin Pax Dollar (USDP). Trading ended in September, and according to Binance withdrawals remain possible until November 24, 2026 at 03:00 UTC. Binance may convert what is left afterwards into another stablecoin, but that is not guaranteed.

For stablecoins without MiCA authorisation, Tether (USDT) above all, a supervisory deadline applies in the EU. In a statement of October 8, 2026, ESMA expects licensed crypto-asset service providers to wind down existing holdings no later than three months afterwards, that is by January 8, 2027. Selling, swapping and withdrawing remain possible until then, buying more does not, and some providers close earlier. How best to exit is shown in our article on the ESMA deadline for USDT. And if you still hold Old QUICK from QuickSwap: under the DAO decision of August 4, the conversion rate drops to 750 instead of 1,000 new tokens in the fourth month, from November 4 according to press reports, and further every month after that.

Missed a deadline: what is still possible at Blast after October 26

Not every missed deadline means a total loss. Blast, the layer 2 from the founder of Blur, gave its users until October 26, 2026 to move their funds back to Ethereum through the normal interface. That convenient route is now closed. The money, however, still sits in the bridge contracts on Ethereum. Blast now offers a recovery page on its own website: anyone who held ETH, WETH or the stablecoin USDB there enters their address and claims the balance directly from a contract on Ethereum. A withdrawal that was started before the deadline but not completed is not yet covered by the page. Background is in our article on the end of Blast.

It is different at Silicon Network and Abstract: there the operators state explicitly that nothing can be recovered after the deadline. And at an exchange such as Kraken, the exchange decides after the deadline what happens to your tokens. Anyone counting on a rescue after the fact is counting on the friendliest case.

Checklist: how to get your funds out safely

Check your holdings: enter your wallet address in the block explorer of each chain and log in to every exchange where you ever had an account.Close open positions: end bids, listings, loans, liquidity pools and staking first; only then can the balance be moved.Test the destination: send a small amount to the destination address first and check that it arrives.Official routes only: open the migration page through the project's own link, never through ads or direct messages. Offers to recover lost funds for a fee are almost always scams.Revoke approvals: Revoke.cash shows which contracts your wallet still allows access, and lets you withdraw it.Keep records: download account statements, settlements and transaction lists while the pages are still reachable.

Where should the money go afterwards? If you want to hold your coins yourself, suitable devices are in our hardware wallet comparison. If you would rather stay with an exchange, choose one with a MiCA licence; the overview is in our comparison of regulated crypto exchanges. What to do in general when an exchange closes is explained in our guide crypto exchange shutting down: what to do.

Tax: withdrawing is not a sale, a forced conversion is

If you transfer coins from an exchange or a layer 2 to your own wallet, the holding stays yours and nothing happens for tax purposes. It is different when an exchange sells or converts your tokens, as CoinEx did with every balance except USDT and as Kraken does after its deadline. That counts as a sale. In Germany, for example, a gain is taxable under section 23 of the Income Tax Act if the purchase was less than a year ago and all private disposal gains of the year together reach 1,000 euros.

So for every withdrawal, record when you bought what and where it was transferred. A closed service will not issue you a statement later. This section is not tax advice.

Our view: shutdowns come with notice, money is lost by leaving it behind

None of the services on this list disappeared overnight. Blur gave one month's notice, Abstract more than two, CoinEx a good three. Even so, money is left behind after every deadline: four weeks before its cut-off date, around $5.3 million still sat on Sophon, and the balance had fallen by only about two and a half percent in the week before. That shows where the real risk lies. It is rarely the operator who vanishes, but the user who does not read the notice.

Our advice is therefore simple: if you have experimented with new chains, marketplaces or smaller exchanges in recent years, take half an hour now and go through the table above. Everything on it can still be done today with a few clicks.

(As of November 3, 2026. This overview is updated with every new deadline. It is not investment or tax advice; the providers' own notices are authoritative.)
