Conor McGregor’s legal troubles have taken a fresh turn after Irish police moved to question him over alleged perjury in the Nikita Hand case.
According to a report by the Irish Mirror, the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (NBCI) has been persistently attempting to reach him. However, the former two-division UFC champion is currently in California, recovering from the ACL injury he suffered during his UFC 329 clash with Max Holloway on July 11, 2026.
Gardai is reportedly trying to reach McGregor, however, they have failed to do it as of now.
The Irish Mirror further reports that Gardaí seized the mobile phone of one of McGregor’s associates for the investigation. The associate has since made contact with detectives, but they too are out of the country.
Amid the turmoil, the Irish outlet managed to reach McGregor’s solicitor, who said the Dublin native is willing to cooperate with Gardaí in the matter.
“Mr McGregor has been out of the jurisdiction since his UFC Las Vegas fight and remains out of the jurisdiction under medical care and advice in California. This office made direct contact with Gardaí last September when this matter was first reported in the media, confirming Mr McGregor’s willingness to assist Gardaí with their enquiries as a witness.”
This is a developing story…
