Commons Sleaze Watchdog Launches Probe Into Reform Deputy Leader Richard Tice

Westminster’s sleaze watchdog has launched an investigation into Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice.

The parliamentary commissioner for standards said he had begun investigating claims Tice had failed to declare an interest.

A separate probe into Nigel Farage’s failure to declare a £5 million gift from a Thailand-based crypto billionaire has been suspended while he fights the Clacton by-election.

Labour said: “The Reform sleaze scandals continue to pile up.”

In a post on X, Tice claimed the complaint against him had been made by an “anti semitic anti Israel lobby group over whether I should have referenced my register of interests at start of a debate on UK democracy and Israeli influence”.

A Labour spokesperson said: “Reform’s leader and deputy leader now have standards investigations hanging over them.

“With police probes, Nigel Farage’s secret £5 million gift, and reports of funding from a convicted fraudster – it’s clear Reform think the rules just don’t apply to them.”
