Chvrches has officially confirmed the release of their fifth studio album, All The King’s Men, scheduled for January 22, 2027. The announcement marks the end of a six-year hiatus between full-length projects and introduces a significant shift in the band’s creative process and sonic direction.

Released via Futures Music Group, the new album was recorded in person in Glasgow. This approach contrasts with the band’s previous record, 2021’s Screen Violence, which was produced through remote sessions during the pandemic. Band members Martin Doherty and Iain Cook have leaned into a “visceral indie” and rock-driven sound for this release, incorporating acoustic instrumentation and drawing inspiration from the gritty realism of British cinema, specifically the works of directors Shane Meadows and Ken Loach.

The lead single, “Roses,” serves as a social commentary on the current state of Britain. It is one of 11 tracks featured on the new LP, which also includes the live-debuted song “Conman” and “Jamie’s Prayer.” According to reporting from Clash Magazine, the album represents a grounded evolution for the trio, moving away from their traditional synth-pop foundations toward a more raw, guitar-centric aesthetic.

## 2027 Tour and Benefit Shows

In support of the new record, Chvrches will embark on an extensive headlining tour in 2027. The North American leg is scheduled to begin on February 13 at Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia. The tour will continue through the spring, eventually concluding with a series of dates in the United Kingdom that end in London in May.

General ticket sales for the North American dates are scheduled to begin on October 30, 2026.

Before the primary tour begins, the band will perform two intimate charity benefit shows in late October 2026. These performances are set for October 26 in Glasgow and October 29 in London, providing fans with an early look at the new material in smaller venues.

## ‘All The King’s Men’ Tracklist

The 11-song collection focuses on thematic shifts and a more organic recording style. The confirmed tracklist includes:

Roses Conman Jamie’s Prayer (Additional 8 tracks to be fully sequenced)

This upcoming cycle marks a return to the band’s roots in more ways than one. By returning to Glasgow to record as a unit, the group has emphasized a more cohesive, live-band energy that is expected to define their 2027 stage presentation. Following the conclusion of their last world tour, the members spent time on solo projects and production work, which helped inform the broader instrumental palette used on the new album.
