While popular genres such as true-crime and romance continue to dominate the streaming charts, a niche category of programming has perhaps greater staying power. True-crime films come and go after a cycle that typically lasts a few weeks at the most — it's the same with romance and crime movies — but titles aimed at older men are the definition of long-tail content. For instance, Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone is a fixture on the Paramount+ charts, regardless of the month. Prime Video has Reacher to fall back on when big-budget shows such as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Citadel underperform. There is, however, another movie that has quietly spent more than 100 days on the domestic iTunes chart, according to FlixPatrol, even though it grossed just $2 million at the box office.
