Wide receiver Xavier Worthy has been ruled out for Sunday’s Week 3 contest on the road against the New York Giants, the team announced on Saturday.

Worthy practised without restrictions or extra padding late in the week but will not travel with the team to New York. He was officially listed as a limited participant on their injury report.
The 28th-overall pick in 2024 also sat out their Week 2 loss at home in a Super Bowl rematch with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Mahomes and the offence are already missing suspended wide receiver Rashee Rice, sitting out six games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, and injured rookie Jalen Royals has yet to make his regular-season debut.
The Chiefs will turn to veteran wideouts Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster for production as they square off with a Giants defence who have allowed the fourth most passing yards in the NFL over the first two weeks of the season.
