Intelligence Unit is in a lot of trouble in the upcoming season of Chicago P.D., following the death of Deputy Chief Reid (Shawn Hatosy) after Voight (Jason Beghe) orchestrated a plan to take him out. The steadfast leader has always been for the unit and would do anything to protect them, but his actions have at times brought them more trouble. Could the show be looking to replace him with a younger, more savvy alternative? Recent casting hints at a Voight-like replacement as Eva Imani (Arienne Mandi) joins Intelligence from the ATF, and she has her way of doing things. “Imani is tough, rebellious, and not necessarily a team player,” Mandi said in a recent interview while describing her character. Sounds a lot like Voight, something Beghe agreed with.
