Channing Tatum's Anime Movie Slays the Box Office in Massive Domestic Debut

Projected to shatter box office expectations, the Japanese blockbuster Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle finally landed on domestic shores, having already broken records overseas. The movie has made more than $300 million from international markets, and should comfortably pass the half-billion mark worldwide by Sunday. A major chunk of this revenue is expected to come from domestic theaters, where Demon Slayer will set a new record for anime titles. The movie grossed around $33 million on opening day, easily outperforming the $20 million that Pixar's Elio generated across its entire opening weekend.
