CCTV Captures Jaipur Man Chasing Thieves With Kachori Plate After Rs 20 Lakh Theft

A momentary stop for a snack resulted in a loss of cash for a businessman in Jaipur on Monday afternoon. The incident, which has gained attention due to bizarre CCTV footage, occurred in the Nahargarh police station area at approximately 4:00 PM.

The victim was transporting the cash on the footboard of his scooter. According to local reports, he stopped at a roadside stall to purchase a kachori. While he was distracted by his meal, two unidentified men wearing helmets approached on another scooter and snatched the bag containing the money.

CCTV footage showed the victim pursuing the suspects while still holding his meal.

CCTV footage of the incident shows the victim realizing the bag had been taken and immediately giving chase. In a detail that has since circulated widely on social media, the footage captures the man running after the high-speed scooter while still holding his plate of kachori in one hand. Despite his efforts to pursue the thieves on foot, the suspects managed to weave through traffic and escape.

The theft has raised questions regarding the security protocols for individuals transporting large sums of cash on two-wheelers, as the bag was placed in an easily accessible position on the scooter’s footboard rather than in a locked compartment.

Jaipur police are currently investigating the matter and reviewing footage from multiple surveillance cameras in the Nahargarh area to track the suspects’ escape route. As of Tuesday evening, police officials confirmed that the helmeted suspects remain at large. Investigators are working to determine if the victim had been followed prior to the stop at the snack stall.
