Xavier Villeneuve opened scoring in the second and Ryan Roobroeck added some insurance with an even-strength goal with two minutes left to play.
Canada and Sweden will play in the tournament’s final on Saturday.
Sweden beat the United States 4-3 in Friday’s other semifinal.
Michal Pradel made 35 saves for Slovakia.
The Slovaks will face the U.S. for bronze earlier Saturday.
