The 2025 season had been a roller coaster ride for Caitlin Clark. It started with preseason games, and her four muscle injuries cost her every important game—be it the Commissioner’s Cup title, the All-Star Game, and now the playoffs. But the real battle wasn’t to hold shattered dreams.

For the 23-year-old, the internal battle of being full of emotions has been the toughest. “I’m so competitive and emotional at times… finding a way to control your emotions is something I’ve always had to navigate. You accept you’re an emotional person, and that’s good. That’s probably why I’m good at basketball,” she shared in a recent interview.

We’ve seen her leaning on the stanchion, a towel over her face, visibly crushed. Weeks later, sidelined in a black sweatshirt, she sat in frustration, helplessly watching her Fever fight without her. Through it all, it was the Indy’s coaching staff prioritizing her mental health.
