Bold and Beautiful Fall Preview: Steffy’s Back, Hope’s Torn Between Liam and Carter and More!

As the summer winds down, Bold and Beautiful’s fall preview promises a renewed focus on couples and families as the soap eases back on some of the high drama. “Brad [Bell, executive producer and head writer] and I always feel the show’s at its best when we’re touching our audience, moving them,” co-head writer Michael Minnis explained to TV Insider.

With B&B’s move to a new studio, the soap now has the ability to utilize additional sets in each episode, which will spark a renewed focus on the fashion side of the show. And viewers can also look forward to some new faces becoming part of the continuing drama. “There’s a couple of younger characters that are tied to our major families that are going to be coming in,” the writer previewed. “With Hope and Liam getting closer and how that impacts Carter helps to bring Daphne back into the story more, and there might be someone from Daphne’s past that could come in and have an interesting impact on a number of our characters.”

One of the major storylines as B&B heads into fall will be the repercussions of Luna sleeping with Will when he was too intoxicated to consent. The crisis will bring the Spencer family together — but while it might inspire a reunion for Bill and Katie, it’s going to cause nothing but trouble for Will and Electra. It could also spell doom for Deacon and Sheila since she hasn’t told him she knows Luna is really alive.

Liam’s near-death experience has inspired him to want to be a family with Hope and Beth, but the problem is that Hope is still technically engaged to Carter. “Liam is really going to passionately commit to Hope that he’s a one-woman man, and Hope will be conflicted,” Minnis teases. “At the same time, Carter wants to marry Hope, and how will that turn out?” And don’t forget, Daphne is waiting in the wings to comfort Carter if his fiancée dumps him!

After Ridge’s rescue of Brooke in Italy, he came to realize how much he still loves his many-times-over ex-wife, which will naturally affect his engagement to his other former spouse. “Ridge and Taylor’s relationship is going to be tested,” the scribe promises, “and that might send Taylor off into new directions, with perhaps someone else that hopefully the fans will embrace.” And her daughter, Steffy, finally returns home to find she’s missed quite a lot while she was away.
