The Toronto Blue Jays have lined up their rotation for a big home series against the Houston Astros.

Shane Bieber will pitch the opener on Tuesday night, Jose Berrios will get the ball on Wednesday and Kevin Gausman will be on the hill for Thursday’s finale.

Berrios will be pushed back one day as part of the alignment and will be pitching on three extra days of rest. Bieber’s start will come on one extra day of rest, as will Gausman’s.

Bieber will be making his fourth start of the season. The former Cy Young winner has a 4.15 ERA and 21 strikeouts in his first three starts since returning from Tommy John surgery.

Berrios has a 4.02 ERA in 28 starts this season. He has made just one start since Aug. 24, and that outing lasted only two innings against the Reds on Sept. 2.

Gausman is coming off an impressive outing in which he went eight innings in a win over the Yankees last week. For the season, he has a 3.63 ERA and 162 strikeouts in 28 starts.

The Blue Jays (82-61) open the three-game series against the Astros (78-66) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
