Blade Runner's Expanded Universe Has Been Failing For 40 Years

For over forty years, the Blade Runnerfranchise has been passing up the opportunity to build an Expanded Universe to rival Star Wars, Star Trek, and other legendary sci-fi series. While Blade Runner has increased its multimedia output since the release of Blade Runner 2049, each new series highlights the limited scope the franchise has gotten stuck operating within.
