Black Rabbit recently premiered on Netflix, and fans have become interested in the fate of one of the series’ core characters, John AlesJules Zablonski. Helmed by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, the thriller crime-drama story follows a New York City restaurant owner leading a lavish life. However, his idyllic life is complicated and threatened by the return of his estranged older brother. Subsequently, the pair finds themselves entrenched deep within the criminal underworld, encountering a series of unexpected twists and turns.

So what happens to Jules in Black Rabbit’s ending? Here’s his fate explored.

Jules’ fate in Black Rabbit’s ending explained

Jules is arrested at the end of Black Rabbit after Jake Friedkin hands over footage depicting his assault of Anna to the authorities.

At the start of Black Rabbit, Jules Zablonski is established as a wealthy VIP client of Jake’s Black Rabbit restaurant. He spikes one of the restaurant’s bartenders, Anna’s drink, and sexually assaults her. Anna subsequently misses her work shifts, resulting in Jake firing her. She tells Roxie that Jules assaulted her, which the latter believes.

Anna is later approached by Jules’ fixer, Campbell. He offers her a huge sum of money and a flight out of America in exchange for her silence about Jules’ assault. However, Anna dies before she can consider or accept the deal. She dies after hitting her head when Junior breaks into her apartment and tries to break down her bathroom door.

Campbell approaches Jake and bribes him with $500,000 in exchange for deleting the surveillance footage showing Jules assaulting Anna. Jake accepts the money and goes to give it to crime lord Joe Mancuso. He also calls off the robbery of a high-end jewelry showcase he originally planned with Mancuso’s son Joe and Babbitt.

At the end of the series, Jake gives footage of Jules’ assault of Anna to a police officer investigating the latter’s death. Jules is subsequently placed under arrest.

All eight episodes of Black Rabbit are currently streaming on Netflix. The series stars Jude Law, Jason Bateman, Chris Coy, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, and Odessa Young, among others.
