In about a month, Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios will release their highly anticipated first-person shooter, Battlefield 6. The companies recently revealed the performance targets for PS5 and PS5 Pro. Owners of the enhanced console will be pleased to hear the game’s specs compared to the rest of the consoles.
What are the Battlefield 6 PS5 graphics modes?
Battlefield 6 offers two graphics modes per platform: Fidelity and Performance. For base PS5, Fidelity mode targets a max resolution of 1440p at 60 frames per second, while Performance mode targets 1280p resolution at 80+ FPS.
Players who want proper 4K resolution will need a PS5 Pro. The Performance mode for the enhanced console targets a maximum resolution of 1620p at 80+ FPS. Fidelity mode targets 2160p at 60 FPS.
Here are the PS5 and PS5 Pro graphics modes and performance targets for Battlefield 6:
PS5 Fidelity Mode: Maximum resolution of 1440p and targets 60 FPS PS5 Performance Mode: Maximum resolution of 1280p and targets 80+ FPS PS5 Pro Fidelity Mode: Maximum resolution of 2160p and targets 60 FPS PS5 Pro Performance Mode: Maximum resolution of 1620p and targets 80+ FPSAlthough these are the targets, players will need to have the proper gear to potentially get these performance targets. So, for any PS5 Pro players wanting to play at 1620p and above 80 FPS, they’ll need a TV or monitor that can hit above 1440p and has a refresh rate at or over 80 Hz.
Last month, people who playtested Battlefield 6 had some hands-on time with the game on PS5 Pro. They claimed to have reached between 90 and 120 FPS in Performance mode. It should be noted that those numbers were from an older build, so things can change between then and the upcoming release.
Battlefield 6 will launch for PS5 and PS5 Pro on October 10.
