Five seasons in, Hulu's hit comedy series Only Murders in the Building keeps finding a way to reinvent its premise. The series has consistently maintained a high rating over the years, following its launch to wide acclaim — a feat that is not guaranteed, as seen with shows like The Bear. The latest season is rated fresh at 100% on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. But can the show's creative team keep up these murders without straining the premise or diverting away from it? Showrunner John Hoffman has thought about that before. “There’s the stretch of credulity [of] how long can this thing go on?” he admitted in a recent interview ahead of Season 5 launching. However, this does not mean that the show is ending. As long as its creative team keeps coming up with fresh ideas for each season, these murders will continue.
