Another Marvel Star Wants a Punisher-Like Special Now

Amid the excitement surrounding Jon Bernthal’s return as Frank Castle in Marvel’s The Punisher: One Last Kill special presentation, one of Daredevil‘s most dangerous villains has expressed a strong interest in having his own special.

Speaking with Variety, actor Wilson Bethel, who plays the deadly marksman Bullseye, said something exciting for fans of the sharpshooting villain.

Bethel was recently asked whether he would be open to his villain receiving a similar special presentation treatment to Bernthal’s upcoming project. His response left little room for ambiguity. “From your lips to God’s ears, man. I sure hope so,” Bethel said.

The actor’s enthusiasm comes as Bullseye continues to cement his place within Marvel Television’s current scene. Bethel first introduced audiences to his iteration of the character during the Netflix era in Season 3 of the original Daredevil series. He has since carried the role into both seasons of Daredevil: Born Again, standing alongside Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk as one of the blind hero’s most established franchise villains.

Now, The Punisher: One Last Kill is the third Marvel Studios Special Presentation following Werewolf By Night and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Reinaldo Marcus Green directs the project, which Bernthal co-wrote, and it will stream on Disney+ exactly one week after Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 ends.

The timing has also sparked speculation among fans about potential narrative connections between the two releases, given the characters’ shared history on screen. Bernthal’s Punisher has already crossed paths with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in previous installments. Additionally, the actor is also set to appear alongside Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, creating a trio of interconnected street-level stories throughout the coming months.

With Daredevil: Born Again already renewed for Season 3 and Avengers: Doomsday scheduled for December, opportunities for Bullseye to appear across multiple projects remain on the table.
