You don’t disagree with Bill Parcells. You don’t do anything to let him down either. That’s the reality Mike Tannenbaum faced on his Get Up segment.

On his show, Tannebaum was all for letting players walk if they aren’t happy with their franchise. The producers approved and encouraged him to keep this take for the next segment, an hour later. But that didn’t sit well with Parcells. Parcells texted Tannenbaum and let him have it. As the ESPN insider put it, “I once got a text from him at 8:52 and 8:53, and we were talking about a player. And for whatever reason, that day I was a little more pro-player, like, ‘Hey, Greeny, if this player doesn’t want to be here, they should let him go.’”

But Parcels wasn’t having it. Parcells texted Tannenbaum, called him an “embarrassment,” and made Tannenbaum change his take. “Well, I get up. I have a pit in my stomach… Greeny’s like, ‘Hey, Mike, what do you think they should do? I’m like, ‘A contract’s a contract.’ I did a complete 180.’”
