Hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned, a marriage rocked by the return of temptation and a predator continues to lure his prey next week in EastEnders.
While we’re sure Max Branning (Jake Wood) knew that chaos would ensue when his affair with Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), we’re not sure he was fully aware just how blood thirsty Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) would be when it came to exacting her revenge. He’s about to find out though – has Max finally met his match?
Ash Panesar (Sakira Vel) lives up to her chaotic reputation as she crash lands back into Walford, disrupting Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) and Vinny Panesar’s (Shiv Jalota) homecoming with their baby and immediately finding herself at odds with her estranged mum, Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal). What chaos will Ash cause for the Panesar clan?
If Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) thought she’d seen the last of Mark Fowler Jr (Stephen Aaron-Sipple), she’s proven wrong when he returns to the Square this week, just as her and husband Peter Beale (Thomas Law) come to blows. With him planning to leave for America, how will Lauren react?
Craig Ingram (Matthew James Bailey) continues to dig his creepy claws into Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd), and she falls deeper under his spell as he continues to manipulate her. Will anyone realise what he’s doing?
Elsewhere, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) continues to struggle in the aftermath of daughter Zoe Slater’s (Michelle Ryan) death and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) agrees to help a neighbour.
You ready for the full shebang? Let’s do it!
Monday, September 21
Cindy stalks Priya and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) on their way home from their baby scan and makes it her mission to locate the paternity test Priya took, eventually finding it and learning the truth, before demanding that she leave Walford or face exposure.
Penny and Vinny’s homecoming with their baby is scuppered when Suki is called to the police station, where Ash is being held for being drunk and disorderly. While Ash promises she’s back to meet the baby, she then announces that she’ll be staying for a few weeks, and later overhears Eve Panesar-Unwin (Heather Peace) having to convince Suki to even talk to her.
Meanwhile, Kat is too focused on finding answers for Zoe’s death and misses the Slaters planting a memorial tree for her, while Craig agrees to meet up with Amy after ignoring her.
Tuesday, September 22
Lauren and Peter’s attempts to fix Max and Cindy go straight to hell when Cindy immediately goes for him, before later announcing her intention to take him for every penny he has in the Vic.
Ash is further rejected after she and Suki come to blows over Suki’s parenting, but once they reconcile, Suki insists Ash must leave so she and Eva can focus on Ria Virdi (Aria Sharma).
Elsewhere, Priya tells Cindy that she isn’t going anywhere, though a run in with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) leaves her doubting herself, and Amy flees from Craig when he notices her scars.
Wednesday, September 23
At Harvey Monroe’s (Ross Boatman) birthday party, Lauren’s anxiety over seeing Mark back on the Square is quashed when she learns that it’s only a flying visit before he heads back to Florida, though her attention is pulled when Cindy learns that Lauren knew about Max’s affair and reveals all, leaving her and Peter at loggerheads.
Cindy’s vitriol continues to pour forth as she darkly warns Ravi that the truth about Priya’s baby can’t – and won’t – stay hidden forever.
Also, Amy gives Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) the cold shoulder as she continues to be drawn to Craig.
Thursday, September 24
Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) struggles to contain his frustration when Denise Fox (Diane Parish) tells him that the potential donor hasn’t come forward, and he seeks answers from Darnell Larson (Christopher Colquhoun), who admits that he’s learned he could be a potential match but is far too fearful to move ahead.
Things are still bad between Lauren and Peter, and while he vows to be more spontaneous and exciting, she finds herself torn as Mark prepares to leave Walford forever.
Concurrently, Suki tries to fix things with Ash, unaware that her daughter still harbours an enormous grudge, while Phil agrees to help Ned Roper (Jamie Bamber) hunt down a former business associate who could help them out of their financial mess.
