The first 10,000 fans through the gates will receive a special pink headband—an iconic accessory Morgan made famous throughout her playing career. At halftime, acclaimed speed-painter Jessica Haas will craft a portrait of Morgan in under 10 minutes. And following the match, the Wave will retire Morgan’s No. 13 jersey—the first such honor in the young franchise’s history.

But even before the ceremony, Morgan shared a touching moment that had fans talking. Near the dugout, she met a mother-daughter duo who were in tears as they finally got to meet their idol. The mother held a striking pink banner with “ALEX” in glittering letters and a heartfelt message: “This mom worked extra hard to make her dream to see you come true.” Morgan embraced the pair, posed for pictures, and gifted the young fan a signed jersey—giving them exactly what they had wished for.
