Alabama woman wins $20K judgment against Church’s Chicken after pot pie burn lawsuit

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) - An Alabama woman has won a lawsuit against a Church’s Chicken location in Midfield after a bench trial this week. According to the lawsuit and her attorney, Yolanda Jackson was burned by a Church’s chicken pot pie in January 2020 that she ordered in the drive-thru. According to court records, “Church’s sold chicken to Yolanda Jackson that was too hot for human consumption”.
