Hollywood's celebrated singer Akon's wife, Tomeka Thiam, has filed for divorce, just days before their 29th wedding anniversary. Thiam cites irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the divorce. The couple has been together for three decades. They met when Tomeka was 18 and Akon was 20 years old through her brother at a friend's apartment in Georgia in the early 1990s. The duo later got married and became a couple in 1996. Akon has nine children with five different women. Among them, he has one child with Tomeka Thiam, a 17-year-old daughter.
