Despite a questionable final season, there is no denying that Game of Thronesis one of the most influential television shows of all time, not just because it brought the high fantasy genre to the big screen, but because it has since gone on to pave the way for other projects set in the A Song of Ice and Fire saga by author George R.R. Martin.
