4.8 IMDb Movie Surprisingly Becomes Prime Video’s No. 1 Film

A 4.8-rated IMDb movie just beat out every title on Prime Video to claim the No. 1 spot. The French-language romance drama is drawing viewers despite underwhelming critic scores.

Manon Gaurin’s You+Me – Against the World currently holds the No. 1 spot on Prime Video’s movie chart in the United States. The French-language romance drama debuted on the streamer on September 18, 2026. FlixPatrol data from September 22 confirms the film topped the platform’s movie rankings for three consecutive days.

The film follows 18-year-old Alma Lancaster, who hides her passion for filmmaking from her wealthy family. On campus, she meets Vadim Arcadi, a 20-year-old rebel with a troubled past. Forced to work together on a student film, they clash before falling in love. However, a mysterious figure watches them and threatens to expose secrets that could destroy them both.

Vittoria Di Savoia and Lucas Barski lead the cast as Alma and Vadim, respectively. Gaurin directed the film from a screenplay she co-wrote with Eliane Vigneron and Alix Letribot. The story draws from Emma Green’s novel Toi+Moi, published by Editions Addictives. Trésor Films produced the project through its Originals by Trésor banner.

The film also ranks No. 3 on Prime Video’s overall U.S. chart, behind Neagley and Reacher. It sits ahead of other popular titles like Sterling Point and The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin. Drawn Together and Looking Through Water follow at No. 2 and No. 3 on the movie-specific chart.

On IMDb, the film currently holds a 4.8 out of 10 rating. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has one critic review from LeisureByte’s Archi Sengupta, who gave it 1.5 out of 5. The film does not yet have a Tomatometer or Popcornmeter score. Audience reception remains limited, with fewer than 50 ratings recorded on the platform so far.
