Though Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knighttrilogy completely changed the genre forever, these three superhero trilogies are actually better. Starting with 2005's Batman Begins, Nolan's trilogy offered a stark contrast from what had come before. The superhero flicks of the 2000s were noted for their freewheeling fun, but nobody was taking them very seriously.
