GOG announced its latest PC Preservation Program release is Konami Collector's Series: Castlevania & Contra, a collection that includes three Castlevania titles and two Contra entries. It is now live on the storefront. A launch sale is also in effect until September 11, 2025, and that drops the price to $3.89 from $5.99. The collection first showed up on PCs back in 2002, and it originally debuted on GOG in September 2020.
As usual, this makes the games in the Konami Collector's Series: Castlevania & Contra collection all playable on a Windows 10 or 11 PC. Controllers are supported, and both Contra entries support local co-op. Some of the things added in the latest release included support for more controllers like a DualSense Edge, the pause menu showing volume and gamma options, and a guide to accessing the game Jackal. That’s the sixth one hidden in there. The collection also supports quick saves.
Here’s the full list of all games in this collection:
Castlevania Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse Contra Jackal Super CRecently, the GOG Preservation Program also added games like Heroes of Might and Magic 2: Gold and Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. There is also a Dreamlist where people can vote to have games preserved.
Konami Collector's Series: Castlevania & Contra is now part of the GOG Preservation Program on PC.
