If the ‘80s saw the late Bill Paxton emerge as a prolific character actor, then the ‘90s were the decade when he established himself as a compelling leading man. The Texas-born star went from scene-stealing wild men in The Terminator, Aliens, and Weird Science to a critically acclaimed performer on HBO’s Big Love and the History Channel’s Hatfields & McCoys. In the years between these seminal performances, Paxton teamed up with ’80s heartthrob Rob Lowe to humanize the infamous James Brothers in 1994’s Frank and Jesse.
