Nintendo's continued strength and reputation within the 21st century as a whole can most distinctly be defined by the overwhelming success of its motion-control-based console, the Wii. The console became one of the most lucrative successes that the gaming industry has ever seen, with its revolutionary motion-control controller ushering in a massive trend in motion controls across the entire industry. However, the console had much more to offer than being simply a casual gaming motion control machine, as there were many genuinely great games released on the console.
