Colin Farrell has been prolific as an actor for several decades at this point, but has kind of been getting better as he's gotten older, or maybe he's just been offered better roles. Maybe it's a bit of both, as the early to mid-2000s weren't lacking when it came to him working with great filmmakers, as can be seen by collaborations with Terrence Malick (The New World) and Michael Mann (Miami Vice), even if those wouldn't quite rank among the best those filmmakers have done.
