Something that's been part of TV for a long time is the use of theme songs. You know, just in case people forget what show they're watching or something. They usually appear at the very beginning of an episode, or a couple of minutes in, and are generally pretty short. Some shows forgo this format for a standard title card, but many still use the theme song as an intro sequence even to this day. This can be found in all genres, from sitcom to fantasy.
