1 of A24’s Scariest Horror Movies Just Found a New Streaming Home

Hereditary, one of A24’s scariest horror movies, found another home. The supernatural psychological horror film is coming to Hulu. Fans will soon get another chance to revisit the terrifying movie.

Hereditary arrives on Hulu on October 1, 2026. The psychological horror movie first arrived back in June 2018. Ari Aster wrote and directed the film for A24. The movie follows a grieving family as they face supernatural horror.

Annie Graham struggles after her mother’s death. Her husband Steve and children also deal with grief. However, their lives become increasingly frightening afterward. Strange events begin happening around their family home.

The family soon discovers something much more disturbing. Terrifying supernatural forces appear connected to Annie’s mother. After a tragic death involving her daughter, Charlie, everything starts falling apart. Annie becomes obsessed with understanding what happened.

She eventually discovers disturbing secrets about her mother. Annie also learns about a mysterious demon named Paimon. The discovery takes the family into an even darker side. The movie explores grief, trauma, and family conflict.

Ari Aster focuses heavily on dark rituals and possession with supernatural elements. Toni Collette stars as Annie Graham; Gabriel Byrne plays Steve Graham; Alex Wolff portrays Peter Graham; and Milly Shapiro plays Charlie Graham.

The movie also featured Ann Dowd and Mallory Bechtel. Hereditary earned around $90 million worldwide. The movie performed modestly at the global box office. However, its critical reputation became much stronger afterward.

The movie currently holds a 90% critics’ score. It also has a 72% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Many fans still consider it a standout modern horror movie. Now, the A24 best horror is set to arrive on Hulu next week.
