Jim Furyk is one of the most prominent golfers on the PGA Tour. He has 17 PGA Tour and a major championship win in his career so far. Currently, Jim is competing at the Sony Open and has had an incredible start to the event. However, in a post-round press conference, he made quite the hilarious revelation.

After an impressive round one at the 2022 Sony Open in Hawaii, Jim Furyk gave a post-round press conference. While in conversation, he revealed, “I played a practice round with a guy that called me ‘sir,'” said Furyk. “And later, he asked what I like most about the champions tour, and I said, ‘No one calls me sir.'”
Meanwhile, Jim Furyk has had an incredible start to the 2022 Sony Open Hawaii. He carded 62 and is T2 after round one. Notably, his 62 included a remarkable ace as well. Furyk made an ace on the par 3, 17th hole. He flushed a 6-iron off the tee at the 187 yards par-3 hole and suddenly caught the attention of everyone.
The 51-year-old made an incredible comeback after the opening bogey. Jim finished the round with seven birdies, and an eagle, including his sixth PGA Tour ace. Another interesting thing to note was that he was getting some good distance off the tee. Currently, Kevin Na leads the event with a score of -9 and is just a stroke ahead of Furyk.
Hence, Jim Furyk will be hopeful of continuing the same momentum in the upcoming round and expectedly will get into the weekend as a leader.
