For the unversed, singer Zubeen Garg passed away on September 19. He was in Singapore to perform at an event. There, he went scuba diving and suffered from a heart attack during that. The singer was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately could not survive the incident. The musician died in the hospital itself. His body was brought back from Singapore to Guwahati on September 21. His mortal remains were then taken back to his home. Gut-wrenching visuals have surfaced, where the wife of the late singer, Garima Saikia Garg, can be seen breaking down and crying uncontrollably upon seeing her husband's body.

Upon seeing her husband's mortal remains, she could not hold her grief back and was seen crying inconsolably. She was struggling to keep herself calm as she placed a gamusa on the coffin.
Zubeen's fans gather on the streets
The coffin was then placed in an ambulance decked with flowers, as thousands of fans marched around the runway. This included passengers and staff from the same flight, and people could be seen breaking down into tears.

Thousands of fans were seen chanting Jai Zubeen Da as the vehicle moved slowly through the group of people.
Zubeen's body embarked on its final journey from Kahilipara to Guwahati airport on Sunday morning, and multiple fans gathered in a crowd to mourn and pay their respect to the singer.
Zubeen's mortal remains were kept at his home for one and a half hours for the family members, including his 85-year-old father, to pay their last respects. After that, the body was supposed to be taken to Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex for the public to pay homage from 9 am to 7 pm.
There have been multiple FIRs filed against the chief organizer of the Northeast Festival, Shyam Kanu Mahanta, and his manager, Siddhartha Sharma.
