Why FFXIV's Sheer Scale Is Overwhelming for This Final Fantasy Fan

I absolutely adore everything Final Fantasy and have done so since I was a child. While I've admittedly - and rather shamefully - not gotten around to beating them all, there are simply too many JRPGs vying for my attention, I've done my best to work through each entry in the series at least a handful of times. Of course, in doing so, I will inevitably check off the most popular, most successful, and most beloved Final Fantasy games, and it is, more often than not, a joy to do so.
