The space race never ends in For All Mankind, and the Apple TV series is about to enter a whole new era of exploration. Season 5 premieres on March 27 and is set in the 2010s, with Mars playing a bigger role than ever as an almost independent player. To get to this point, however, a lot of groundwork was laid in Season 4, set in the previous decade. Back then, humanity consolidated its foothold on the Red Planet with Happy Valley Base, the focal point of the season. Established by the joint efforts of international and private players, the base quickly develops its own intricate financial, social, and political dynamics, challenging the reigning status quo and becoming a problem on its own. It's been a long time since then, however, so now's a great time for a refresher ahead of Season 5.
