The moment we’ve all been waiting for has almost arrived: the trailer for Victoria Beckham’s three-part documentary series has dropped, and we’ve only got a matter of weeks to wait for the whole shebang.

After hubby David’s huge success with his self-titled Netflix docuseries debut, former Spice Girl Victoria, 51, is also cashing in on the trend with a three-part series dropping on October 9, and it’s called simply: Victoria Beckham. Classy.

From the trailer, it looks as though we can expect a deep dive into Victoria’s Spice Girls years, her family life with David and their five kids, even with snippets of their eldest Brooklyn, 26, who is thought to be in a feud with the rest of his family, though it’s unlikely this drama will be covered.

It will focus on the pop star-turned-fashion designer’s run up to her big 2024 Paris Fashion Week show last September, with tensions high as Victoria admits: ‘I have been preparing for the biggest fashion show I have ever done. We were millions in the red.’

‘It made me panic,’ reflects David, who also appears in this segment of the trailer as the family – including Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, Harper, 14 – rally around Victoria for her big runway moment.

‘Is this what it was like for you to watch me come and play football?’ he asks, appearing at multiple points in the series, which is by the same team behind Beckham and Michelle Obama’s Becoming.

The documentary opens with a classic VB line: ‘People thought I was that miserable cow that never smiled. But I do. Don’t be shocked.’

It seems Victoria is continuing the trajectory of her iconic appearance in the Beckham documentary, in which she insisted she was working class, but when pressed by David, she admitted her dad drove her to school in a Rolls Royce.

‘I have never forgotten where I come from,’ Victoria tells the camera, before 2000s Spice Girls footage rolls onto screen.

‘Performing was my dream. The Spice Girls made me accept who I am. And then all of a sudden, it stopped,’ the trailer offered dramatically, before going into Victoria’s move into the fashion world, where she was not initially taken seriously.

‘People thought, “She was a pop star, she married a footballer. Who does she think she is?”‘ Victoria says.

‘That uncool kid at school that’s awkward, that was me. But I desperately wanted to be liked, have a sense of worth. Fashion was this creative outlet,’ Victoria continued.

The businesswoman also got emotional in the trailer while talking about her children.

‘I want my kids and David to be proud of me. It’s taken so long to get to this point,’ she says, crying, before adding: ‘I’m not going to let it slip through my fingers again.’

The trailer ended on a cosy, light-hearted note, with David comforting his wife: ‘If you could make a cheese and ham toasted sandwich we’d be proud of you…’

Through tears and laughter, Victoria responds: ‘Let’s be honest, I couldn’t actually make a cheese sandwich very well.’

Fans will also be curious to see how heavily Brooklyn features in the series, after their now months-long rift.

News of a divide between Brooklyn and his family first emerged when he and Nicola failed to show at David’s 50th birthday bash in May.

Since then, speculation has only grown more intense, with neither party explicitly commenting on the rumours but various social media posts seemingly nodding to the headlines.

One of the biggest signs came when Brooklyn and Nicola – who live in the US away from their family – celebrated their marriage with a secret vow renewal last month, from which his family were noticeably absent.

Of her decision to turn her life into a documentary, Victoria told Bloomberg: ‘My husband convinced me to do this documentary. To be honest, I wasn’t sure anybody would really want to see what I do every day.

‘It focuses on what I do, and my role as founder and creative director of the two brands.

‘I thought long and hard about it, and then I realised that now is the time to do it.’

Victoria Beckham will be available to watch on Netflix from October 9.
