Tom Holland gives vague answer on Spider-Man’s future in MCU
Spider-Man star Tom Holland recently sat with LADbible and talked about his upcoming movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. As he got into more details, Holland was asked about how long he plans to play Spider-Man in the MCU. However, the Uncharted actor gave a vague answer.
He said, “I think with anything, it’s all about what’s in front of you, and right now what’s in front of us is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and focusing on making that movie worthy of the last film. I have been actively sifting through the internet and trying to best understand what it is that the fans want from a Spider-Man movie, and that’s been my driving force in these pitch meetings.”
Holland further revealed how he troubled the producers sometimes and stated, “I think the producers, at times, were like, absolutely sick of me, but I think it’s really important, because we make these movies for [the fans].”
Although the actor didn’t reveal much about his future as Spider-Man in the MCU, he shared that he has been heavily involved in the overall creative process while working on Spider-Man 4. Holland told the outlet, “What’s been really fun about this most recent movie is designing the suit and being a part of that process and understanding what we wanted to try and achieve.” Furthermore, he was tight-lipped about sharing any more information regarding whether the suit takes inspiration from any parts of the comic, to not reveal any details on the movie’s plot.
