Brian Eno’s huge ‘Together For Palestine’ gig will be livestreamed exclusively on YouTube on Wednesday (September 17).

The livestream details come as huge names including Paul Weller, Florence Pugh and Eric Cantona have been announced as taking part.

Among the other famous faces to be added in the final line-up announcement are Francesca Albanese, Laura Whitmore, Mehdi Hasan, Munroe Bergdorf and Neneh Cherry. Khalid Abdalla, Lana Lubany, Malak Mattar, Misan Harriman, Ruth Negga, Sama’ Abdulhadi and Zainab Jiwa have also been announced.

Comedian Guz Khan has been announced as host, and he said in a statement: “When you see kids in Gaza facing bombs instead of books, you realise this can’t be normalised. That silence isn’t an option. That’s why this concert matters. ‘Together For Palestine’ is about solidarity, love – and saying we see you, we stand with you. When I got the call asking me to host, it was a no-brainer. This is about using my platform to back justice, and reminding people that standing up for humanity is everyone’s job”

Singer-songwriter Cherry added: “As an artist and a mother, right now I feel helpless, guilty, angry, ashamed, and a million feelings beside. How can this be happening in 2025? This is not a natural disaster – it is a man-made blight on humanity. All of us across the world have a collective responsibility to do what we can to stop the bombs and bullets. As artists, I believe our music can cut through the silence of complicity. ‘Together For Palestine’ is about turning sound into solidarity – our way of saying compassion matters, and every child deserves to grow up in peace and possibility.”

Palestinian DJ Abdulhadi, who will be going back-to-back with Jamie xx for part of his set, said: “Everyone has a lever. Mine is a stage. I’ll use it at Wembley to amplify Palestinian voices and make space to grieve, unite, and recharge. For a free Palestine.”

Multiple UN human-rights experts and UN bodies have stated that Israel’s military actions in Gaza may amount to genocide, and the International Court of Justice has previously found claims of genocide plausible.

Performances are set to be interwoven by interstitials directed and curated by Amir Nizar Zuabi, showcasing doctors, teachers, journalists, aid workers and other people working in Gaza and featuring the likes of Albanese, who has worked as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories since 2022, and surgeons Dr Ghassan Abu-Sittah and Dr Victoria Rose.

Tickets are sold out, but people who still want to watch the Wembley gig – the UK’s largest fundraising concert for Gaza – can do so on YouTube from 7pm on Wednesday, with more details shared on social media on the day of the show. Merchandise has also gone on sale on the ‘Together For Palestine’ online shop.

The money the gig raises is set to be distributed to Palestinian-led organisations such as Taawon, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and Palestine Medical Relief Service.

When musician Eno announced the first lot of artists in August, he said: “In the face of the horrors of Gaza, silence becomes complicity. Artists have always helped societies to point out injustice and imagine better futures. That’s why this concert matters. It’s time for us to come together – not just to raise our voices, but to reaffirm our shared humanity.”

When the first wave of artists was announced, Damon Albarn, Bastille, Cat Burns, Greentea Peng, Hot Chip, James Blake, Jamie xx, King Krule, Mabel, Obongjayar, Paloma Faith, Rachel Chinouriri and Sampha were among those confirmed to be involved.

Earlier this month, another group of artists, including Celeste, Leigh-Anne, PinkPantheress, Rina Sawayama, Riz Ahmed, Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna, Palestinian musician Saint Levant, and Palestinian-Jordanian artist El Far3i were announced.

Also announced to be taking part were the likes of actors Benedict Cumberbatch, Jameela Jamil and Ramy Youssef, as well as broadcaster Louis Theroux, Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg and Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos.

Weller, meanwhile, has also curated another event to raise money for people in Gaza. ‘Gig For Gaza’ will be taking place at London’s famous TROXY venue on October 17. Primal Scream, Inhaler and Maverick Sabre will be performing alongside the former frontman of The Jam.
