The Voice is preparing to return for Season 28, and there are some important updates, including the coaches who will be back for the upcoming season. Season 28 is set to premiere on September 22, 2025.
So, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming season of the show.
Snoop Dogg and other coaches return in The Voice Season 28
Coaches Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, and Snoop Dogg are all set to return for The Voice Season 28.
The Voice shared an exclusive first-look with People. The first look clip was then shared on The Voice’s official YouTube channel as well.
The clip features all four of the coaches in action. “It took me all this time to get real — only you can seal the deal based off of the way that you feel,” Snoop Dogg says in the clip. Reba McEntire, returning for her fourth season, asks fans for advice on a decision. Niall Horan is also back in the mix, seen praising a contestant. Michael Bublé comments, “When somebody’s a bad boy, we put them in the penalty box. Now you get two minutes for looking too good.”
What’s Michael Bublé’s new penalty box on The Voice?
The clip introduced a unique feature of the show: a penalty box. In the footage, Michael Bublé is seen using this box around Horan’s chair. In the clip, Bublé jokingly tells Horan that he will remain in the penalty box for exactly two minutes for looking too good. The exact purpose of this penalty box is unclear, but it promises to be something distinctive.
This season also includes a new element called the Carson Callback, though details about that are still vague. As Season 28 of The Voice premieres later this month, fans can expect to learn more about these new rules and features.
