Sega announced it will release two perching “Chokonose” figures of The Summer Hikaru Died characters Yoshiki Tsujinaka and “Hikaru.” These will be available as prizes in Japanese arcades starting on September 26, 2025. Stores worldwide are already showing listings, with Crunchyroll suggesting each will be available for $29.99 on November 1, 2025. Big Bad Toy Store also had listings for both with December 2025 release windows, but sold out.
As both of these are part of the established line of Chokonose perching figures from Sega, each one is designed to sit on the edge of a shelf or on top of an item. Yoshiki is the taller of the two at 14cm, while “Hikaru” is 13cm tall. Each one is holding a croquette in a napkin that they are about to eat, and both of them are in their school uniforms. “Hikaru” also has his backpack on.

As a reminder, The Summer Hikaru Died is both a boys love and horror story about Yoshiki, who realizes his friend Hikaru died and was replaced by “Hikaru.” While dealing with his grief, he’s also connecting with this new entity and investigating what happened, their town, and the being’s identity. It started as a manga, but light novel and an anime on Netflix followed.
The Summer Hikaru Died Yoshiki and “Hikaru” perching figures will appear in Japan on September 26, 2025, and they’ll appear worldwide later this year. Yen Press handles the manga and light novels
