A total lunar eclipse (known as a ‘Blood Moon’) aligns with the Full Moon in Pisces on September 7.

This is a powerfully intuitive lunar phase, supercharged by the passion accelerator of an eclipse which brings a little bit of chaos magic to our realm.

Pisces is the final sign of the zodiac and sits on the cusp of the end and beginning of the zodiac wheel, so perhaps this Full Moon is an invitation to release a pattern and embrace a spiritual or creative shift— eclipse season can amplify our deepest passions and lead us towards what we really should be doing with our lives.

So, let the tarot reveal one thing to release and one thing to embrace this Full Moon. And if you’re looking for deeper insight or specific questions answering, why not join my wonderful tarot club – have a month on me, free.

Let things settle as they naturally are, and then act accordingly. You will benefit hugely from this small shift.

Tarot cards for Cancer for the Full Moon in Pisces: Strength, The Emperor

Meaning: The Strength card asks you to release being so strong for everyone else, putting a brave face on it, acting like you don’t care or mind or feel wounded. Emotions aren’t a weakness. Sharing and expressing them isn’t a vulnerability. It’s time to let all of this pent-up frustration and upset. Have a major Full Moon release, let it all out, Cancer.

The Emperor invites you to embrace taking back control and power. Don’t be told what to do, don’t wait to see how the land lies or what the decision is, don’t ask for permission, don’t bend to their will. You are one of the most powerful signs, so claim that force and energy and put it into taking charge of the things you feel ‘done to’ about. Demand, ask, pitch, apply, propose. Be on the front foot.

Tarot cards for Libra for the Full Moon in Pisces: Judgement, Justice

Meaning: The Judgement card asks you to release all comparison to other folk – good, bad and indifferent. It’s irrelevant. You don’t know their true flaws, struggles, and setbacks, you only really see what is shown. So don’t use it as a yardstick. Use your own story as the only measure of progress or disappointment. And be kind to yourself. Be patient. You’re doing good.

The Justice card invites you to embrace fairness and harmony. Set the balances right in your realm, be on the right side, correct the mistakes, right the wrongs, set things straight. Bring your calm, persuasive, analytical approach to wherever there’s unfairness and unhappiness. You can smooth over so much stuff and help things to feel better.

Hope can become reality with actions (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Sagittarius for the Full Moon in Pisces: Six of Wands, Ace of Coins

Meaning: The Six of Wands asks you to release a false hope you carried and were relying purely on luck and good fortune to bring to life. It won’t happen that way. Hope is good but it needs underpinning with action, intent, resources, and pro-active steps to breathe life into its potential. Either make plans and take steps, or leave this goal to another time.

The Ace of Coins invites you to embrace the idea of investment. Slow, steady, consistent plans that move like a lava flow underneath your daily life, every day marked by an action or step, and that come to fruition over months, even years. Wealth, health and home are good themes for this kind of investment activity. Think, plan, and act.

Capricorn

December 22 to January 21

capricorn star sign
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Capricorn for the Full Moon in Pisces: Six of Coins, Queen of Swords

Meaning: The Six of Coins asks you to release a tit for tat mentality that has built up in a close relationship recently. We all walk up the ‘ladder of love’ – if you do this for me, I’ll do this for you, and so on. And then one day someone doesn’t do what they ought and the other person thinks ‘well I won’t do that for you then’… and the walk down the ladder begins. Notice this, and stop it. Recalibrate before you unpick this whole relationship.

The Queen of Swords invites you to embrace a solo project, a deeply intellectually satisfying and challenging piece of work, research, creativity, or invention that will distract and absorb you. You are so smart, sometimes work and home don’t provide enough stimulus for your problem-solving, practical intellect. So invent something, get stuck into a self-created project. Sharpen your smarts!

Aquarius

January 22 to February 19

AQUARIUS star sign
Time for a refresh (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Aquarius for the Full Moon in Pisces: Ten of Wands, Page of Wands

Meaning: The Ten of Wands asks you to release a lot of heavy stuff and unnecessary activity and chores and challenges that you’ve accrued but not prioritised or discerned fully in 2025. You pick things up. People bring you things. And it all seems great at the time but now you have too much going on and are pulled in too many directions. Streamline. Lose the unimportant and non-urgent. Lose the stuff you don’t enjoy. Refocus.

The Nine of Wands invites you to embrace doing the ‘hard stuff’ first – every day. Don’t put off your chores and difficult tasks because it just drags the sense of dread out for longer over the day. Do them first. Tick off the hard things as soon as you arise or can get to them, reorganise your calendar to allow for this and notice the immediate positive difference it makes!

Pisces

February 20 to March 20

pisces star sign
Let the truth out and let flaky friends go (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)

Tarot cards for Pisces for the Full Moon in Pisces: The Moon, Seven of Swords

Meaning: The Moon asks you to release a secret. There’s something you’ve kept to yourself but it’s become a burden, maybe even poisonous. It’s time to express yourself, spill the tea, say the truth, unleash the reality check that others need to experience too. The Full Moon is a great time for intimate discussion and revelation. Settle in, set the scene, speak up.

The Seven of Swords invites you to embrace a more ruthless way of organising your social life. Only spend time with those who’ve proven they think about and care about you. Don’t chase any more one-way-street friendships, don’t keep giving to family who always say ‘sorry missed your message, so busy’ when you need their time or attention, block the unrequired romances. Distil your circle down to the folk who love you and show it. Life will feel better.
