The Conjuring: First Communion Cast Locks In Its New Ed and Lorraine Warren

First Communion has found new actors to play the younger versions of Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren. Garrett Wareing will star as young Ed, while Amanda Fix will play young Lorraine. As the film is a prequel, the story goes back to the Warrens’ early years, making the casting of younger actors a natural choice.

According to Dread Central, filming has officially begun on The Conjuring: First Communion. Rodrigue Huart is directing the next installment of the supernatural horror franchise, based on a screenplay by Richard Naning and Ian Goldberg.

As of now, Warner Bros. has not revealed the plot. It also remains unclear whether Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will appear as the older versions of Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The prequel brings another chapter to The Conjuring Universe. This began in 2013 and has since expanded with Annabelle, The Nun, The Curse of La Llorona, and several Conjuring sequels. The story will now focus on the Warrens before the events of the original films.

The young versions of Ed and Lorraine Warren were introduced earlier in The Conjuring: Last Rites. Orion Smith and Madison Lawlor played key roles in capturing fans’ love.

First Communion is ready to enter theatres on September 10, 2027. Before that, Warner Bros. will release The Revenge of La Llorona on April 9, 2027, to expand its connected horror universe.

Meanwhile, Warening is best known for The Long Walk and Manifest, while Fix performed well in Orphan Black: Echoes and Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma. Their casting of Ed and Lorraine Warren marks a new chapter for the long-running horror franchise.

The recasting could help the franchise grow more brightly in the future. If audiences embrace Wareing and Fix, they could return in more stories centered on the Warrens’ early paranormal investigations.

Fans will hope the movie is up to the mark in its storyline. Moreover, they will see how the new cast brings the iconic paranormal investigators to life in their younger years.
